“The Glass Castle of Å»eromski” (2025)

“The Glass Castle of Å»eromski” was a spectacular projection mapping on the Saxon façade of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, presented from December 12 to 14, 2025.
This extraordinary visual spectacle was created with bold imagination and meticulous precision. Its point of departure was the figure of Stefan Å»eromski and the window of the apartment in which he once lived and worked—a symbolic space where ideas, doubts, and visions of one of Poland’s most important writers were formed.
The mapping used metaphor to reflect Å»eromski’s message and worldview, the rebellious and complex protagonists of his novels, and the power of literature itself—as a witness to history, a way of interpreting life, and a mirror of human fate. A fate we shape only in part, while at the same time being carried by larger historical processes we do not always fully understand, yet inevitably endure.
Stefan Żeromski lived in the Royal Castle in Warsaw from 1924 to 1925.
The year 2025 marked the 100th anniversary of his death, and Stefan Żeromski was the official patron of the year.
